When I was in college, I got to the point where I would joke that I was the center of the universe. This had nothing to do with how good I was at academics or theater, or how much I expected or demanded the admiration of others.
It was simply because I kept discovering connections between with the new people I was meeting – connections that seemed to be more than your average coincidence.
While I didn’t have a word for it at the time, I was noticing, for the first time, instances of synchronicity in my life.
Since then I have lived a thousand more odd connections and fascinating throughlines, read Jung’s source material for this theory of synchronicity, and come to a better understanding that I will never understand what these things mean.
And that is OK. Because I don’t believe these things are there to reveal meaning but rather to signal harmony as we travel along a chosen path.
This blog will explore some of my more notable experiences of synchronicity, and be a tool for my own further exploration of the topic. This is not an academic study – it is a personal journey. You are welcome to walk it along with me!
